Elegant Sculptures Formed From Deconstructed Instruments

Sculptor Koji Takei deconstructs everyday objects and reassembles them in new and exciting ways. As a fan of classical music, the Los Angeles-based artist focuses his subject matter on guitars, fragmenting their original parts and occasionally adding vases and trumpets to the mix. Now, a chair doesn't look like a chair anymore. We see every part of it at once, and it tricks our perception of what's three-dimensional and what's flattened.

Playfully Energetic Figures Constructed With Colorful Wire

Hungary-based artist Judit Rita? Rabczky playfully molds strips of wire cables together to create her series of energetic human figures. She welds the colorful pieces into acrobatic and seductive poses that seem almost lifelike. As a result, the whimsical and mischievous work is filled with a lively energy that emanates from each body. Rabczky pays close attention to detail in shaping the outlines and curves of her sculptures.

Tiny Objects Perfectly Paired with Matching Pantone Swatch

One morning when designer Inka Mathew was looking at the flowers in her front yard, she began to wonder what Pantone swatch would correspond with her vibrant blue buds. She eventually found a perfect match and photographed the flower with PMS 2726. The post became a big hit on Instagram and thus a new Pantone-inspired series was born.
