Enormous Tidal Wave Engulfs an Entire Gallery Space

Deluge is an installation mimicking a giant tidal wave by Atlanta-based artist Crystal Wagner that is made of plastic table cloth, balloon mylar, screen print and chicken wire. The site-specific piece creatively engulfs its space like an unrelenting surge of water, simulating the motion and brilliant ripples of the blue water and its salty, white foam.

Sad and Surreal Contemporary Cartoons by Angel Boligan

Cuban cartoonist Angel Boligan creates thought-provoking works that all have a touch of sadness and surrealism. Look through each of them and you'll notice that he isn't afraid to address such universal topics as love and loss, yet he does so with both style and humor. At Cervantes Institute of Athens, in an exhibit titled “With Humor as Common Language,” Boligan is currently showcasing his works along with fellow cartoonist Mijalis Kuduris.
