The Archeology of Art: Giant Bronze Seashells

British sculptor Marc Quinn creates a multitude of large-scale structures that draw a resemblance to nature. His latest works, a series of giant bronze seashells, are what he calls The Archeology of Art. According to Quinn, “the form of the shell is like a found structural diagram of how the present becomes the past, with the rings on the outside of the shell suggesting the past and a polished reflective front showing the present.

Incredible 3D Latte Art Pops Out of the Cup

There are many latte artists around the world, but one especially skilled barista has expanded his craft to not only produce amazing cappuccino “paintings” but to also have them pop out of the cup like foamy sculptures. Based in Osaka, Japan, 26-year-old barista Kazuki Yamamoto explores the unique craft of 3D latte art, proving that even the most mundane jobs can be perked up with a little creativity.

Amazingly Detailed Illustrations Drawn on Foam Coffee Cups

Cheeming Boey, generally known as just Boey, was at a coffee shop and needed something on which to write down his ideas. He didn't have any paper, so he found the next best thing–his coffee cup. After seeing some incredibly awesome results, the Malaysian animator and artist continued sketching on the creative surface and has since produced a wide range of awesome foam coffee cup designs.
