Interactive Shadows Made with Words

It's one thing to stand in font of a projector to create shadow puppets, but it's an entirely different experience to block a text-based floor projection and see your typographic silhouette on an adjacent wall. Istanbul-based multidisciplinary creative studio NOTA BENE Visual has designed a mind-boggling audiovisual installation using an intricately executed video-mapping technique that uses the latest technology to create an artistically intriguing environment for spectators to engage in.

New Works by Miniature Mastermind Slinkachu

Andipa Gallery in London just sent word about the latest print release from our favorite “little people” artist Slinkachu. Called Damn Kids, it shows the owner of an Audi convertible looking quite distraught over a pink lollipop landing on his car. Talk about a catastrophe! This whimsical miniature installation was created in Stuggart, Germany to coincide with the artist's first museum solo exhibition. You can read more about it here.

Maurice Sendak: A Legacy Exhibition

While children's author and illustrator Maurice Sendak will always be known for his classic book Where the Wild Things Are, he produced nearly 10,000 works of art and related material. In the early 1970s, Sendak chose the Rosenbach Museum & Library in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to be the repository for this work. They hold everything from his original artwork and rare sketches to never-before-seen working materials.
