Regina Silveira’s Magnificent Illusions

Renowned Brazilian artist Regina Silveira creates incredible illusions that play with our senses and messes with our minds. She invites the viewer see huge shadows or watch as toy cars make their messy track marks on a gallery's white walls. In Lodz, Polland, she created an installation called “Depth” where she incorporated the gallery's architecture, particularly its windows, to show a never-ending abyss one could actually walk on.

Geometric Illusionary Perspective Paintings

Spanning over 30 years, Swiss artist Felice Varini has been mesmerizing viewers with his anamorphic illusions. The artist, who resides in Paris, displays his illusionary work in both private and public spaces. The urban paintings require a specific point of view to visualize the geometric shapes he creates as a continuous whole. From any other standpoint, the piece is fragmented and may not align properly.

Watching Time Stand Still

It's hard to believe that self-taught digital artist Norvz Austria, aka xetobyte, first started mixing digital works because he couldn't find any wallpaper he liked. Taking matters into his own hands, the Philippines-based creative began his artistic career in the surreal digital world. Though his works are not direct reflections of Dali's art, Austria is clearly inspired by clocks and surrealism.

Athletic Bronze Sculptures Emerge from Walls

These hard-bodied men emerging from bare, white walls are the works of Milan-based artist Matteo Pugliese. The most apparent and impressive aesthetic choice that Pugliese has chosen in this series entitled Extra Moenia is the decision to present his sculptures in fragments. A bent knee opens the opportunity to represent one whole form in at least two pieces. It is the spectator's mind that makes up the limbs and other body parts that aren't visible.
