Incredible 3D Photo Sculptures (14 pics)

Susy Oliveira calls her process “a compromise between sculpture and photography.” Using a foam frame, the Toronto-based artist creates three-dimensional pieces that simulate reality in a very distorted, yet intriguing way. Oliveira examines “our preoccupation with replacing nature with fabricated versions of itself.” She adds that these sculptures express an “opposition between the round aspects of sculpture and the flat aspects of photography, much like bringing a virtual model into a real space.

Global Warming & War by Blu (5 pics)

Global Warming – Berlin, Germany One of our favorite street artists, Blu, just completed these amazing large scale murals in Europe. Using the facade of high-rise buildings as his canvas, Blu sends very relevant political messages through his works. “Global Warming” is extremely clever and features a melting iceberg in an hourglass, which is dripping water into a flooding city below.

Intricate Street Art Enriched in Mexican Culture

When I first laid eyes on these beautiful murals by street artist Neuzz aka Miguel Meja, I was really impressed with how his work is so enriched in Mexican culture. If you look closely, it's hard not to blown away by the amount of detail he puts into them. In particular, his use of color and contrast is incredible.
