Beautiful Watercolor Paintings of European Landmarks

From San Marco Square in Venice to St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, Europe is home to some of the most beautiful architectural landmarks in the world. Using bright and beautiful pastel watercolors, artist Maja Wronska recreates a few of these landmarks and their picturesque surroundings. The Poland-based artist is studying architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology.

Taiwan’s Dazzling Cherry Blossom Trees Light Up at Night

Held annually since 2001, the Aboriginal Cherry Blossom Festival brings together a large number of visitors to the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village to see their 2,000 cherry blossom trees. Mystifying Sculptures Appear to Float in Mid-Air

The Virgins of Apeldoorn is a public installation in the Netherlands by Dutch artist Elisabet Stienstra. The sculptural work features three bronze statues of girls in varying positions, all seeming to lie parallel to the ground. Their hair and the cloth of their dress hangs below them as though they are sleeping on an invisible bed in midair. The intriguing figurative pieces are each presented in an almost cyclical composition.
