Desert Photos Interrupted by the Human Form and Real Landscapes

Us Through This is a contemplative series in which British-born, San Francisco-based artist Richard T. Walker creates a strong juxtaposition between human and nature. Within each composition, a calm desert scene is interrupted by a human figure, and that figure is then interrupted by a photograph of a segment of the surrounding landscape. The artist combines his love of nature with complex questions about how we as a culture treat our surroundings.

Marble artist Mike Gong creates beautifully detailed designs inside of small, handmade glass marbles. He pays close attention to detail to get every single element just right within the round interior of glass, and each of his creative concepts tells a crazy little story. Gong produces mesmerizing clouds of color, texture, and patterns that seem out of this world.

Photocopied Men Attempt to Break Out of Picture Frames

This clever collection by artist Steven Guermeur playfully challenges the limitations of a conventional picture frame. Entitled Action Against the Frame, the series explores how artwork is traditionally presented to the world and how changes to that approach alter the general feel of the work as well as a viewer's expectations. Each piece features a black and white photocopy of the artist attempting to break free from the boundaries of his surrounding wooden edges.

Realistic Comfort Foods Playfully Knitted Out of Wool

This playful project features a collection of delicious foods that you can't actually eat. The Comfort Food series is a collaboration between model maker and prop stylist Jessica Dance and food photographer David Sykes. The two paired up to put a little twist on typical food photography. Dance used a knitting machine to produce everything from a burger and fries to a full English breakfast out of 100% lambswool.
