Portrait of Jackie Chan Made Out of 64,000 Chopsticks

Whether she's constructing innovative food creations or building portraits with coffee stains or dyed flowers, artist Hong Yi, aka Red is always up to something fantastic. For her most recent project, the artist wanted to use something meaningful to celebrate actor and martial arts master Jackie Chan's 60th birthday this year. So, she chose chopsticks–a symbol of the Chinese culture–as the medium with which to create this masterful portrait.

Denver-based artist Buddy Bravo's gorgeous illustrations are paired with motivational quotes that inspire viewers to really appreciate the world around us. Sing in the shower; catch a raindrop; dance with yourself; all of the playful ideas encourage a positive attitude towards life. Influenced by 1920s and '30s style, each concept features the rich colors and geometric shapes of Art Deco designs.

Ornate Carpets Recreated as Modern Sculptures

Through handmade craftmanship, multimedia artist Faig Ahmed creatively explores the ornate patterns and traditional designs of Azerbaijan carpets. He draws upon the culture and artistic traditions of the country in order to produce his unique and contemporary sculptures. By directly manipulating the wool, Ahmed transforms iconic carpet designs into modern creations.
