Taking a cinematic approach, Brian Parillo finds incredible amounts of character in Los Angeles. Shooting at abstract angles, he directs our eyes to captivating geometric shapes. When he shoots up from the ground and into the sky, he gives us a sense of scale, showing us just how magnificent modern architecture can be. Born and raised in Connecticut, Brian now resides in Los Angeles.

Adobe’s Futuristic Museum is Here

Welcome to the first digital museum, Adobe has now opened their virtual doors. Showcasing the best of digital media, Adobe has created a place that only lives online called Adobe Museum of Digital Media. Their first exhibit, called Valley, is by Tony Oursler, an American multimedia and installation artist. Seventeen areas form a virtual flowchart which invites the viewer to interact with it.

Beijing’s Water Cube Transformed Into Water Park

Beijing's Water Cube was one of the most spectacular venues at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. You may best remember it as the place where Michael Phelps won eight gold medals. Earlier this month, on the two year anniversary of the start of the Beijing Olympics, the Water Cube was reopened to the public as Asia's largest indoor water park. The water park takes up about half of the 130,000-square-foot (12,000-square-meter)

Architects Modernize Traditional Courtyard with Above-Ground Moat and Rooftop Gardens

Above-ground swimming pools have been the latest hot trend, and this one by Guz Architects knocks it out of the park! The architectural design mimics an age-old method of security with a modern twist. It almost looks like a modern moat, perfectly designed to house small sharks. Located in Singapore, the Tangga House is a contemporary interpretation of a traditional courtyard house, with a staircase and entry area forming the focal point of the project.
