Sculptor Carves Life-Sized Arnold Schwarzenegger Statue Out of a Tree Trunk

While Arnold Schwarzenegger has already been honored with a 600-pound bronze statue in Ohio, the world champion bodybuilder, Hollywood star, and ex-Governor of California has recently inspired the work of another sculptor. Wood carving artist James O’Neal created an incredible life-sized Arnie out of an old tree trunk and documented the entire process on Instagram. Carved from black oak, the impressive piece measures 1.88 meters in height (approximately 6′ 2″ tall)

Artist Illustrates His Battle With Depression as a Mystical World of Spirit Animals

Polish artist and graphic designer Dawid Planeta summons gigantic beasts in his series of grayscale illustrations set in a mysterious land. Titled Mini People in the Jungle, his work explores the artist’s personal experience with depression, visualizing the mental journey through dark times. Planeta explains, “It’s a story of a man descending into darkness and chaos in search of himself.” A small figure appears throughout the poignant series, perhaps representing Planeta himself.

British artist Olivia Kemp creates incredibly detailed, large-scale pen drawings that depict real-world landscapes. However, each piece isn’t an exact representation of the locations—instead, Kemp injects her own mythical twist into each sketched environment, merging fantasy with reality. Her latest works are inspired by the artist’s travels to Malta and Bavaria and were created using photographs, on-location sketches, and her own memories as references.
