Artist Livestreams Images of Earth from Space in Mesmerizing Public Art Installation

Chilean artist Sebastian Errazuriz is known for his captivating public art installations, but his latest piece—titled blu Marble—is quite literally out of this world. The experimental project involves a monumental 20-foot LED structure depicting a live stream of Earth from space. Installed in the middle of New York City, the illuminated spherical sculpture invites the public to contemplate human existence. “Blu Marble is a reminder of our miraculously fragile existence,” explains Sebastian Errazuriz.

Artist Turns Colorful 8-Bit Computer Graphics into 3D Sculptures and Paintings

Argentinian-Spanish artist Felipe Pantone is a self-described “child of the Internet era.” Through art, he explores color, light, and form with works that look like 8-bit graphics and pixelated computer glitches. His recent exhibition in Shanghai, called Distance, Speed, Time, Formula, presents an incredible technicolor series of graffiti, paintings, and 3D sculptures. Walking into the gallery showroom was like stepping into a computer world from the ‘80s.

This 11-Year-Old Boy Is a Crochet Master Who Uses His Skills to Give Back

At five years old, Jonah Larson began an unusual hobby for a kid his age. He became hooked on crochet, a craft commonly associated with people many decades older. It all began when Larson received a bag of supplies and then proceeded to teach himself crafting techniques via YouTube. After much dedication, the now 11-year-old is a “crocheting prodigy” who has tackled complex projects that many adults would struggle with.
