MMM Exclusive: Vibrant Geometric Street Art by Okudart in Madrid

A few blocks from our temporary apartment in Madrid, my wife and I spotted this eye-catching street art piece by Okudart. The very first thing you'll notice is the intense burst of colors radiating from the mural. The piece is bright and vibrant in all the right ways and truly adds life to an already bustling city. Okudart aka Oscar San Miguel Erice has been based in Madrid since 2000.

Banksy’s New Mural Mocks Smart Phone Distracted Lovers

Banksy, the most recognized street artist of this era, had been quiet since his whirlwind tour of New York City last fall. Well, he's up to his old tricks again, and his website was recently updated with a new piece that's painted on a quaint stone wall on Clement Street in Bristol, United Kingdom. It features two people in a close embrace but are distracted and checking their phones over the other's shoulder.

Kiev, Ukraine-based artist Nastya Ptichek brings history and the modern age together in a tongue-in-cheek series called Emoji-Nation, which reinterprets classic artworks such Edvard Munch's The Scream using expressions associated with digital culture and computer technology.
