Artwork Incredibly Revealed When Viewed as a Negative

Malaysian artist Brian Lai takes photorealist drawing to a whole other level by creating sketches with inverted colors. Seeming like a film negative, each of Lai's illustrations are like abstract works of art until a filter is applied to invert the colors, allowing one to admire the photorealistic portrait and, thereby, appreciate the artist's creative rendition. Lai has currently produced two such illustrations, each one depicting X-Men characters (most prominently featuring Wolverine).

Surreal Tree Branches Sprout Out from Indoor Support Beams

Baitogogo is a half-sculptural, half-architectural installation by Brazilian artist Henrique Oliveira that presents a surreal growth of tree branches out of white columns. The So Paulo-based artist's piece offers a unique perspective of indoor design while reminding viewers of the materials used for construction. He presents a structural and organic fusion that plays with one's sense of space.

Artist Uses Short Strokes to Create Complete Drawings

Artist Seong Jin Kim's beautiful black and white illustrations are composed of quick, short strokes that merge together into amazing scenes. His work is a beautiful blend of thin black ink with a stark white background. Up close, Kim's style appears to be rough and incomplete. However, the broader picture proves to be an extremely complex, emotionally-charged image that conveys a powerful story of loneliness and isolation.

Man Walks All Day to Create Massive Snow Patterns (Part 3)

English artist Simon Beck never ceases to amaze us with his large-scale murals of geometric patterns in snow. Each visually breathtaking piece, which Beck manually creates by walking through the snow and leaving behind his track prints, adds a surreal element to its natural landscape. Walking countless miles on end, the dedicated artist manages to produce startlingly symmetrical and elaborate designs on the soft, white bed of snow that covers acres upon acres of land.
