Injecting Paint in Bubble Wrap to Create Pixelated Portraits

In all our years of running My Modern Met, we've seen our share of amazing pixelated portraits. Humans (and even animals) have been made out of everything from crayons and computer keys to lipsticks and cake sprinkles. Artist Bradley Hart uses a different approach. His material of choice is one we don't often come across unless we open up a box or unwrap a delicate present. Bradley Hart works with bubble wrap.

Symbolic Lion Sculpture Carved Laying in a Cliff

In Lucerne, Switzerland, there is a stone sculpture of a slain lion embedded in the face of a low cliff that pays tribute to the hundreds of valiant Swiss Guards that courageously met their demise in 1792 when revolutionaries attacked the Tuileries Palace in Paris.

From a very young age, the Italian artist has been passionate about sculpture and, although he had to put it aside for many years, he has spent the past 13 years dedicated to his passion for the art form.

Incredible Spatial Sculptures Using Colorful Suspended Buttons

Miami-based artist Augusto Esquivel realistically duplicates objects by suspending thousands of sewing buttons on mere strings. Each strand of his incredible sculptural pieces work with their adjacent string of buttons to create colorful replicas of everything, from a basic geometric cube to a stone fountain covered in flowers and spouting water.
