Jader says her work “explores moments when we willingly and unwillingly dive into the next phase of our lives. These critical times of life contain a universal feeling of loss of control, time moving forward, and hurtling through space.

VW Beetles Compressed into Circular Balls and Cubes

Beetle Sphere is a sculptural composite of five Volkswagen Beetles compressed into one spherical ball by Indonesian artist Ichwan Noor. The 180cm3 metallic orb, which was recently unveiled at Art Basel Hong Kong, is comprised of real parts from 1953 models of the car, combined with polyester and aluminum. The Paris-based artist's studio produces industrial design and interior architecture that blends interactions between people and living systems within the environment. Cracked Egg Lamp Inspires New Architectural Designs

Broken Egg is an eye-catching lighting fixture mimicking a cracked egg by designer Ingo Maurer. The fantastic and intriguing design, first introduced as a ceramic table lamp in 1996, has inspired a new architectural project, allowing visitors to actually enter a massive oval-shaped venue. The egg-shaped structure is set to be built at Art Park in Inhotim, Brazil, boasting a futuristic space reminiscent of classic sci-fi films.
