Artist Cuts Encyclopedias to Create Storybook Art

England-based Alexander Korzer-Robinson is not a traditional artist, rather he enjoys creating narrative scenes by using pre-existing media, such as encyclopedias. Like Brian Dettmer, this artist creates his book sculptures by carefully cutting into pages, exposing some of the illustrations while removing others. The images seen in the finished work are left untouched, standing in their original place.

World’s Largest LEGO Christmas Tree

Standing more than 40 feet high at London's bustling St Pancras International Station is a Christmas tree made completely out of Lego bricks! Artist Duncan Titmarsh of Bright Bricks, the UK's only LEGO Certified Professional, with the help of local primary school students and members of a local Explorer Scouts unit, took more than two months to construct this amazing work of art which is made out of 600,000 Lego pieces.

Photorealistic Celebrity Pencil Drawings

Upon first glance, artist Rick Fortson's celebrity portraits appear to be photo stills of some of the most famous television, film, and music stars. However, each picture has the artist's name legibly etched into it, all in pencil! Fortson, who sometimes refers to himself as Dr. Pencil, is a self-taught illustrator based in Illinois.
