Beautiful Technical Perspective of Flowers

Created by Japanese artist Macoto Murayama, Inorganic Flora shows us new observations and studies of flowers like never before. He first takes a number of photos and sketches of plants from nearly every angle. He then uses an array of digital programs, like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and even 3-D modeling, to create highly visual works.

Butterflies Bursting Out of Book

Artist David Kracov was commissioned to create an award to be given in honor of, and named for, the late director of Chabad's Children of Chernobyl. Called the “Book Of Life,” it was inspired by the extraordinary life of Rabbi Yossi Raichik, a man who saved thousands of children's lives from the devastating effects of the Chernobyl disaster.

The Masterpiece on NYC’s Highline

As I walked across New York City's famous High Line for the first time a couple years ago, I was stopped in my tracks by an extraordinary artwork that immediately caught my eye. After admiring it for a few minutes, I never really thought I'd come across it again. As I was scrolling through Valerie Hegarty's website last night, I was pleasantly surprised to see the stunning piece once again.

Illuminated Paper Blowing in the Wind

Bourrasque, by London-based designer Paul Cocksedge, is meant to represent a large collection of papers blowing away in the wind. Made for France's City of Lyon's annual Festival of Lights, each sheet of “paper” is made from a special conductive material that lights up when a current is passed through it. All are the exact size of a standard piece of printer paper and were formed by hand to obtain their dynamic shapes.
