For the past few years, Jacob Jonas The Company has been hosting monthly Instameets with social influencers, allowing dancers and photographers to spontaneously collaborate to stunning effect. #CamerasandDancers recently held its 30th meet up and has held events everywhere from the Getty Museum in Los Angeles to the New York Public Library.

Misty Copeland Gets Her Own Barbie, Empowers a Generation with Hope

Barbie wears ballet slippers and bright red tulle in this new doll design–but that's hardly the boldest thing about her. The fiery feminine figure is modeled after Misty Copeland, the first black female principal dancer of the prestigious American Ballet Theater. Copeland collaborated directly with Barbie to create the purchasable mini-me, which challenges the white, blonde stereotype of the classic toy.
