Designer Transforms a Boeing 737 Jet Engine into a Massive Chair

A big fan of all things aviation? This innovative chair marries aircraft engineered quality with industrial furniture design, resulting in an unconventionally eye-catching centerpiece. The 737 Cowling Chair was designed by Fallen Furniture, a company that specializes in producing aviation furniture out of authentic, reclaimed aircraft parts. This particular masterpiece was made out of a repurposed engine cowling taken from a Boeing 737.

Elegant Wooden Chair Hand-Carved from a Single Tree Stump

With the right artistic vision, an ordinary tree stump can become something magnificent. In 2014, Alex Johnson demonstrated this with his chair called Glemham I, which he carved out of a large oak stump. It took the craftsman six months to complete his wooden creation by hand using everyday tools like a chisel and gouge.

New "Inception" Dining Table Designed with Gravity-Defying and Curving Cityscape

Earlier this year, we marveled over the Wave City Coffee Table created by Cyprus-based designer Stelios Mousarris. The innovative piece of furniture, inspired by the 2010 film Inception, seemed to bend reality with its fantastical form–it folded a wooden cityscape onto itself, using the buildings' underside as a smooth tabletop. Now, Mousarris has extended this warped dream with his spectacular Wave City Dining Table. Like its predecessor, the dining table manipulates the urban environment.
