Library Desk Made from Recycled Books (4 pics)

Whoever thought of this idea is pretty bright… After a devastating fire in the Architecture building burned down a portion of the library, Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands purchased a new collection to replace the old volumes. Instead of throwing away the old, unburned books, they stacked them up to create this awesome administrative desk, which they appropriately placed in the library.

Miniature World Landmarks (20 pics)

With so many incredible landmarks around the world, the chances of us seeing them all in person is slim to none. That's why Tobu World Square in Japan is a sightseer's dream! The theme park contains over a hundred 1:25 scale models of the world's most historic buildings, complete with 140,000 1:25 miniature people who make the exhibits look strikingly real.

Modern Design: Shadow Clock (5 pics)

Inspired by the shadows of clouds, trees, and buildings gradually moving across the ground, Taiwanese designer Hanhsi Chen in collaboration with engineer Chiyu Chen conceptualized an innovative timepiece called the “Shadow Clock.” A modern sundial, the new wall clock uses shadows to tell time in a poetic fashion, with three arms which represent the hour, minute, and second. Not only does it add light to your surroundings, it's adjustable to add just the right amount.
