Exploding Fruits and Vegetables

Apple While we got a kick out of photographer Alan Sailer's exploding Christmas ornaments, we can't help but stand back in shock and awe as he demolishes our favorite fruits and vegetables. Yes, even the sweet potato he bought at a local farmer's market has no chance against Sailer who turns the brown vegetable into a puree, all without the help of a blender! Photorealistic Celebrity Pencil Drawings

Can you believe that these images are pencil drawings? Upon first glance, artist Rick Fortson's celebrity portraits appear to be photo stills of some of the most famous television, film, and music stars. However, each picture has the artist's name legibly etched into it, all in pencil! Fortson, who sometimes refers to himself as Dr. Pencil, is a self-taught illustrator based in Illinois.

Swarming Everyday Objects

Rhode Island-native Thomas Jackson has been working on a new series of photographs with the idea of swarms which is defined, most typically, to be a gathering of flying bees. However, in all of his photos he does not include a single bee. Instead, Jackson creates swarms of everyday objects such as leaves, sticks and plastic cups to create surreal yet striking images.
