Dutch artist Paula Arntzen is an incredibly skilled paper artist. Only after countless hours of studying and observing the special characteristics of paper was she able to create these contemporary light sculptures. All of these were entirely handcrafted before being screen-printed with fluorescent ink. The results are stunning!

Urban Street Art: Vhils Scratches the Surface (5 pics + video)

Portuguese-born Alexandre Farto aka Vhils is an amazing, super-talented street artist that you've probably never heard of. Using tools like a power drill, chisel, and different types of paint, Vhils literally scratches off the surface of buildings to create his masterpieces. Modern Architecture – An Angel’s Sleek Wings (6 pics)

Is it just me or do these buildings look like the sleek wings of a lightning-quick angel? Perkins+Will's Master Plan for SANY Beijing won first place in the “Conceptual Design” category at the 8th International Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism. The judging committee based their award selection on four central themes of the exhibition: spatiality, connectivity, originality and sustainability.
