Simply Brilliant: Sigur Ros Performing at a Parisian Cafe

Sigur Ros – Vi spilum endalaust – A Take Away Show from La Blogotheque on Vimeo. I can't say that I'm a die hard Sigur Ros fan. Months ago I had a young, hip guy friend tell me about this Icelandic group and at that time I only listened to Sigur Ros just long enough to think that sounded like a prettier Bjork with a twist of Coldplay.

House on Stilts – Takasugi-an by Terunobu Fujimori: Japan

I wonder how many safety hazards this tree-bound tea house has. Designed by architect Terunobu Fujimori, Takasugi-an is located in Chino, Nagano Prefecture, Japan and built atop two chestnut trees, cut from a nearby mountain and transported to the site. Takasugi-an literally means “a teahouse too high.” Guests must climb a freestanding ladder, which leans against one of the trees in order to reach the little house.
