Man Sitting on Gears Symbolizes the Relationship Between Humans and Machines

Soheyl Bastami is an Iranian sculptor who creates work out of everything from sand to iron and wood. One of his more recent pieces, Extreme, is an elaborate sculpture in which Bastami welded metal parts together into an elaborate and elegantly crafted curved structure that stands approximately 2.2 feet x 1 foot x 1 foot. The elegant piece is a combination of complex gears entwined into one simple and meditative form.

Innovative Fashion Collection Designed with 3D Printing Technology

We have seen 3D printing in a variety of forms including unique floral arrangements, miniature figurines, and creative sculptures. Recently, designer Noa Raviv took things to an entirely new level by using the innovative process to create a fashion collection. Raviv developed her series, Hard Copy, as part of her student work at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design. The artist drew upon computerized patterns of grids and lines as the inspiration for the modern styles.
