Traveling Giant Moon Installation Continues to Dazzle Viewers Around the World

Since the dawn of mankind, people have been fascinated with the moon—whether as a religious deity to ancient Romans and Greeks or as the focus of the “Space Race” between the United States and the Soviet Union. Suspended Layers of Colorful “Pixels” in Ancient Greek Ruins

Hanover and Berlin-based artists Thomas Granseuer and Tomislav Topic (together known as Quintessenz) create site-specific installation art made from a combination of materials. For their latest project, the duo transformed a derelict stone building on the Greek island of Paxos as part of the Paxos Contemporary Art Project. The 400-year-old ruin was filled with layers of colorful spray-painted fabric, creating an abstract spectrum of rainbow hues.

Japanese Art Installation Lets Visitors Step Into a Living Dream World

Japanese digital art collective teamLab is known for creating epic digital art installations that immerse viewers and bring dream-like experiences to life. Their latest project, teamLab Planets TOKYO in Toyosu, presents a number of the collective’s best “body immersive” works, spanning across a 10,000-square-meter (approximately 107,640 square feet) exhibition space. Made using digital technology, many of the installations are designed to transform based upon viewer interactions.

30-Foot-Tall Dog Sculpture Balancing a Real Taxi on Its Head Pops Up in New York

New York City just got another piece of public art thanks to the NYU Langone Hospital. As part of its renovation, a 30-foot-tall Dalmatian balancing a taxi cab on its nose has been installed in the NYU Langone Helen L. and Martin S. Kimmel Pavilion at 34th Street and 1st Avenue. The whimsical sculpture by Donald Lipski is just the latest addition to New York's eclectic public art collection.
