LEGO Teams Up With an Artist To Transform an East London Laundromat Into a Colorful Kid’s Playground

London-based artist and designer Yinka Ilori proves that with a little imagination, there’s no limit to what you can build with LEGOs. This is all too clear with his colorful installation, titled Launderette of Dreams. Created in collaboration with The LEGO Group as part of its Rebuild the World campaign to celebrate children’s creativity, the project transforms a local East London laundromat into a vibrant, interactive playground bursting with color.

Crystalline Glass Pavilion Camouflages Into Serene Greenland Landscape

Swedish architect Konstantin Ikonomidis finds a way to merge a man-made design into a serene landscape. He created a crystalline pavilion along a trail in western Greenland, which overlooks two conjoining fjords. Commissioned by the Qeqqata municipality, the subtle design “celebrates and promotes the intangible Inuit heritage and knowledge of the environment.” Qaammat pavilion is installed in Sarfannguit, a cultural landscape of Greenland and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Designers Use Illuminated Drones To Create Waves Around Elbphilharmonie Hamburg

The iconic Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, designed by renowned architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, is a contemporary symbol of the city of Hamburg. The building is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year in style with a dazzling light installation. Designed by Studio DRIFT, Breaking Waves uses hundreds of illuminated drones to create floating ripples of light around the structure.
