Interview: Artist Shares Her Colorful Sketchbooks Filled with Beautiful Botanicals

When you’ve got creative block, sometimes the best remedy is to go outside and draw what you see. New York-based print designer and illustrator Sara Boccaccini Meadows has made it a habit to take her sketchbook everywhere she goes, taking inspiration from her everyday surroundings. Rendered in watercolor and gouache, Meadow’s paintings are particularly inspired by nature. Her sketchbook pages are filled with lush, colorful landscapes and gardens, blooming with flowers and botanicals.

World’s Largest Bird Sculpture Took Artists 10 Years to Complete

The idyllic setting of Kerala, India boasts incredible views of nature that are best seen from Jatayu Earth’s Center. A joint venture between the country’s tourism department and Rajiv Anchal (a film director and sculptor), the nature park has been open since the end of 2017. It has since garnered a massive claim to fame; Jatayu Earth’s Center is home to the world’s largest bird sculpture.

Interview: Street Artist Learns Freediving to Paint Underwater on Artificial Reefs

Artist Sean Yoro, better known as Hula, grew up in Hawaii, where his love of nature flourished and later combined with his artistic talents. He’s most commonly recognized for his murals that play with watery reflections in forgotten spaces, which he often paints while floating atop his surfboard. Using environmentally-friendly pigments, the artist’s figures seem to emerge from the water like mermaids drawing the viewer in with their eyes.
