Artist Carves a Sprawling Forest into an Ordinary Van

With his work Nature Delivers, artist Dan Rawlings transforms a standard Ford transit van into a forest. The piece was commissioned by Kendal Calling for the Lost Eden festival, giving Rawlings the opportunity to take on this ambitious project. Rawlings' work is typically tinged with nostalgia. He enjoys using old farm equipment and tools to harken back to a simpler time when material possessions held less importance.

Artist Visothkakvei creates detailed drawings that go way beyond your average doodles. Armed with a pen and an endless imagination, he fills sketchbook pages with sprawling compositions that are full of tiny, fine-lined elements. Throughout each of his works, motifs of delicate blooms, fancy flourishes, and crystallized forms fit together like puzzle pieces as they ebb and flow effortlessly around the page. Artist Uses Fire and Smoke to Create Incredible Paintings of Birds

For the past 16 years, artist Steven Spazuk has been honing the craft of painting with fire. The “fire artist” uses the resulting soot from flames to produce haunting, delicate work. By trailing his tools over the remnants of a flame, he almost sculpts his subjects on the canvas in a technique called fumage. Spazuk is quick to point out that he didn't invent the technique—it's most likely how pre-historic man created cave paintings.
