Artist Installs a Giant Gushing Waterfall in the Middle of the Palace of Versailles Gardens

A waterfall gushing from an invisible source is enough to make one stop and stare, so the sight of one splashing down in the middle of the gardens of the Palace of Versailles is really something of a spectacle. This is just one of Olafur Eliasson’s ingenious installations which have been strewn throughout the manicured gardens and glittering halls of the famous French landmark.

Artist Combines Passion for Math, Nature, and Art to Create Incredible Topographical Art

Made out of thousands of tiny little triangles, these delicately thatched composites strike a pleasing visual chord through their careful balance of negative and positive space. Created by LA-based artist Katy Ann Gilmore, the organic geometric images are realized through a variety of influences including mathematics, nature, and visual art. The tiny latched shapes spread outward until final pieces emerge, looking like hand-crafted topographic maps.

Dazzling Van Gogh-Inspired Interior Turns Ordinary Auto Rickshaw into Mobile Work of Art

Last year, we were enamored with the creativity of Taxi Fabric, a project that has transformed Mumbai’s many taxis into mobile works of colorful art. Nasheet Shadani is one of the latest designers to collaborate with the Taxi Fabric team, applying a similarly vibrant touch to an auto rickshaw in Delhi. His eye-catching illustration cloaks the interior—including its seating, ceiling, and side panels—in a brilliant van Gogh-inspired scene.
