Artist Amusingly Adds Strange Details to Old Photos

Artist Colin Batty puts an amusingly strange spin on photographs of the past. Taking cabinet cards from the early 1900s, he uses acrylic paint and crafts entirely new and surprising scenes directly on the image. His additions are often hilarious but also creepy, and he does a fantastic job of seamlessly matching the colors and shading of each vintage photo – without the help of the computer.

Ghostly Deer Sculpture Stands Deep in a UK Forest

Artist David Freedman created this beautiful, ghostly deer sculpture deep in a UK forest. He was asked by the UK Forestry Commission to make a piece for the Wyre Forest in Worcestershire, England as part of a sensory trail, which make would make it accessible to people in wheelchairs or with limited mobility. Despite being easy to access, the sculpture is set back from the pathway so that it appears deep in the forest.

Stunning Portral Street Art Illusions by 1010

Since 2009, German street artist 1010 has been creating these mysterious, portal-like street art illusions on walls around the world. While at first glance it looks like he's layering colored paper, upon closer inspection you realize that you're actually looking at paint on a wall. It's a different type of street art than we're used to.
