Contemporary Origami Exhibition is Coming to New York

Come see some of the biggest and brightest names in origami show off their wildest creations at a free event at the Cooper Union in New York City from June 19 to July 4. Organized by a Cooper Union student named Uyen Nguyen, you'll see amazing piece after piece of origami created by 80 contemporary artists from 16 different countries. Over 120 works will be on display.

Fantastical Clouds Magically Suspended in Empty Rooms

Amsterdam-based artist Berndnaut Smilde is best known for his fantastical Nimbus series, in which individual clouds appear to magically float in empty rooms. The haunting images portray the airy nimbuses drifting through gorgeous Rococo rooms, Gothic cathedrals, and abandoned factories, evoking a sense of mysticism or supernatural presence.

Colorful Solo Show Titled "Peace" by Eduardo Kobra

It's not difficult to identify a mural that has been completed by Eduardo Kobra. The Sao Paulo-based street artist has a signature approach filled with vibrant colors and geometric shapes that merge together to form the portraits of many very prominent figures. He uses a combination of painting, airbrush, and spray paint to produce the enormous works filled with a lively spirit.
