Artist Playfully Transforms Street Markings Into Works of Art

With just a spray paint can and some stencils, Canadian street artist Peter Gibson, aka Roadsworth, transforms all kinds of regular street markings into playful works of art. In 2001, the Montreal-based artist began raising an awareness for more bike lanes in the city. During that time, he found inspiration from the lines across a parking lot, the painted crosswalks, and the yellow dividers along highway lanes.

UK-based artist Jane Perkins produces incredible pieces that recreate classic works of art and portraits of iconic figures using thousands of multicolored found objects. Each of the artist's creations is a compilation of numerous objects that range in color, size, and texture. She works with anything from buttons and beads to LEGO pieces, shells, plastic spoons, and clothespins.
