3D Light Sculptures Created with Two Spinning Monitors

Full Turn is a project by artist Benjamin Muzzin that takes two flat screen monitors placed back-to-back and spins them at high speeds, turning the projected images of light into three-dimensional animations. Created as a diploma project for a bachelor degree at ECAL, the result is a spectacular kinetic light sculpture that can be viewed from all sides.

Historical Figures Playfully Portrayed as Cats and Dogs

Cat Queen Animals From History is a playful series that ties together history lessons with incredibly detailed animal illustrations. Created by Christina Hess, each full color print features a famous character portrayed by a well-dressed cat or a dog. Hess pairs her illustrations with the elaborate life stories of cleverly named characters like Elvis Petme, Cleocatra, and Joan of Bark.

Playful Notebook Drawings of Characters Eating Odd Dinners

In The Last Supper, Moscow-based artist Nataliya Platonova filled every page of her little notebook with clever illustrations and she utilized the crease to add dimension to each playful scene. The project features all kinds of interesting characters about to enjoy a meal at the dinner table. Occasionally the artist adds a hint of color to the otherwise monochromatic images.
