Dazzling Christmas Lights On a Spinning Ceiling Fan

Yesterday, Redditor CycleNinja blew people away when he posted these images that show what happens when you attach Christmas lights to a spinning ceiling fan. Of course, these are not your traditional Christmas lights, they're battery powered LEDs that were in one of their “blinking pattern modes.” When asked by a fellow Redditor if he could share pictures of the set-up, CycleNinja replied that he didn't have access to them, at that time.

Whimsical Twisting Lamp Posts and Droopy Light Bulbs

Dutch artist Pieke Bergmans playfully redesigns street lamps and light bulbs to look like animated figures. Her latest series titled Metamorphosis offers a whimsical transformation to said inanimate objects by elongating and twisting their bodies around one another. One piece in the collection is a pair of anthropomorphized street lamps that appear to be intwined in a romantic dance as one streetlight gently dips its partner.

Neon Signs Featuring Lyrics from Classic Love Songs

Artists Victoria Lucas and Richard William Wheater have collaborated for the past year to create this glowing, self-funded public project entitled 12 Months of Neon Love. Featuring lyrics from popular songs, the team produced a series of twelve expressive signs that were displayed on the roof of their Neon Workshops in West Yorkshire, England.

Takashi Murakami’s Spirited Flowers & Skulls Exhibit Opens

Renowned Japanese artist Takashi Murakami has recently opened his latest exhibition of work titled Flowers & Skulls. The show, his first in Hong Kong, features a number of the contemporary artist's creations that touch on contrasting themes of joy and terror and their coexistence. Murakami's vibrant images flourish with colorfully animated flowers. Alternatively, there is a collection of skulls depicted in his work that is equally colorful.
