Budapest, Hungary-born artist Gbor Mikls Szoke graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts only a few years ago, in 2010, yet he's already made a name for himself in the contemporary art world. Throughout the past few years, he's been creating massive sculptures by screwing wooden slats of various sizes together.

Massive Pencil Mural Wins $200,000 Art Prize

Drumrolls, please. After more than 47,000 voters cast 412,560 votes, the ArtPrize 2012 winner was finally announced last Friday. Taking home the grand prize of $200,000 was Adonna Khare, an elementary school art teacher turned stay-at-home mom who created a massive mural of a menagerie of animals all by pencil.

Haunting 3D Projection of Giant Faces on Trees

Tonight is the last night to see a haunting artwork at Hyde Park South in Sydney, Australia. For the last few weeks, contemporary artist Craig Walsh has been showing Emergence, an amazing projection where the park's trees come alive as faces emerge from the leaves and branches. Paying homage to the park's history as a meeting place for civic unrest, protest and direction action, three faces tell interesting stories about civic involvement.
