Intricate Textured Paintings Resemble Coral Reefs

Using rolls of paper and acrylic on canvas, Amy Eisenfeld Genser creates textures and patterns against rich backgrounds that resemble underwater scenes. Each piece is reflective of the stony corals and polyps that one might see while scuba diving near a coral reef. The Connecticut-based artist says, “The sources of my work are textures, patterns, and grids. I look for forms that can be repeated to create a pattern when they are joined.

Flipping Through a Beautiful Rainbow Book

New York-based artist Tauba Auerbach dabbles in a little bit of everything, including painting, photography, book design, and musical performance. Her artwork challenges the expected norms and examines the systems that define our world. More Amazing Wire Coat Hanger Sculptures by David Mach

We've marveled in awe over Scottish sculptor David Mach's unconventionally structured sculptures composed of magazines, matchsticks, bricks, and wire coat hangers. Yet again, the sculptor has managed to draw our attention with his incredible coat hanger sculptures, this time depicting two giant cats–a tiger and a cheetah.

Modern Tiananmen Square Street Mural

Using iconic imagery from the Tiananmen Square incident in 1989, A.SignL from the Captain Borderline crew recently completed this mural in Cologne, Germany to protest human rights violations in modern China. The tank is made up of all types of cheap consumer goods “Made in China” and the man standing in its way is holding a bag that says “Fair Trade.” The piece was a collaboration with Amnesty International and Color Revolution.
