New Spectacular Skateboard Artwork by Haroshi

Japanese artist Haroshi creates some truly impressive sculptures out of a very uncommon medium. By taking old, broken, or abandoned skateboards, he repurposes them for his artwork. We've featured his stellar pieces before, and now he's back with some more incredible recycled skateboard deck works. The new set features astounding and colorful carvings of a fire hydrant, a full length arm, an enormous skateboard wheel, a playable guitar, and an unfinished dog head.

Otherworldly Macrophotography of Paint and Ice

These abstract images involve more than your average painting tools. Photographer Cliff Briggie, who also happens to be a practicing clinical psychologist, creates these interesting “temporary ice paintings” that are comprised of ice, paint, and water and enlivened by his camera's flashes of light. Combining the contents allows the image to, essentially, create itself. Briggie says, “A photograph FREEZES the moment. Ice, light, and water move, morph, flash, and change.

Iconic Photo Recreated with 5,500 Plastic Toy Soldiers

Made by artist Joe Black, Made in China is an impressive piece rendered out of 5,500 plastic toy soldiers. It depicts the portrait of a young Chinese solider taken for the cover of LIFE magazine in 1938 on the story of the Sino Japanese War. To create a pointillism effect, each tiny replica is placed with a great attention to detail then spray painted their specific color.

Impressive Lego Sculpture of Albert Einstein

This past October, Legoland Florida opened to the public, targeting families with children ages 2 to 12. With about 50 million bricks used, it is the fifth and largest Legoland in the world with 50 attractions in 10 themed areas.
