Banksy’s Grungy-Great Pop-Up Theater

Leave it to Banksy to have the UK premiere of his film at a makeshift 150-seat cinema built under Waterloo train station. Lambeth Palace, as Banksy calls it, is an improvised film theater on Leake Street that will be holding special previews of Exit Through the Gift Shop until March 4th (in advance of the film's nationwide release on March 5th). The dungeon-like auditorium is described as London's “darkest and dirtiest cinema.

Urban Street Art: PaperMonster Hits Brooklyn

I'm really diggin' these new pieces by urban artist PaperMonster. Recently found on the streets of Brooklyn, New York, the works are part of his “Give and Take Project.” PaperMonster is a stencil graffiti artist whose vivid and intricate pieces explore the beauty behind the eyes and facial expressions of women. Born in Puerto Rico, PaperMonster uses stencil and pasting techniques to create works of art on any surface.

Urban Street Art: Vhils Scratches the Surface (5 pics + video)

Portuguese-born Alexandre Farto aka Vhils is an amazing, super-talented street artist that you've probably never heard of. Using tools like a power drill, chisel, and different types of paint, Vhils literally scratches off the surface of buildings to create his masterpieces.
