Coiffure le Bird is an interesting collaboration between photographer Rene Mesman and the creative postproduction specialists at Souverein Weesp that features a series of portraits of birds, each with its own luscious head of hair. Each feathery fowl–a trio consisting of an owl, a crow, and a falcon–boasts a voluminous mane, the kind meant for shampoo and conditioner commercials. Whether you're a blonde, brunette, or redhead, there's a bird to represent you.

Artist Forages for Driftwood, Turns What He Finds Into Awe-Inspiring Animal Sculptures

For artist Jeffro Uitto, a walk on the beach is more than just a serene walk. It's an opportunity to forage for materials for his incredible, large-scale sculptures. Using driftwood he finds around the Pacific Northwest (specifically Washington state), he assembles the gnarled pieces into animals and birds. The smoothed strips of fragmented wood are put together like a puzzle; and when Uitto is done, they harness gestural energy reminiscent of a painter's brushstrokes.

The Stockholm, Sweden-based creative's oil paintings depict intriguing portraits of people drenched in water. Extensive Pile of Noodles Produces an Emotional Reaction

In 2010, French sculptor, painter, and photographer Theo Mercier created this very emotional piece, entitled Le Solitaire. Seated on a chair, the sculpture is basically a big pile of noodles slumped over in the shape of a person. The large eyes staring out at nothing create a sense of terrible sadness. With very little detail, Mercier evokes in his viewers a sense of empathy and a desire to reach out and help this lonely being.
