Giant Labrador Sculpture Marks Its Territory on a Museum

A 28-foot-tall sculpture of a black Labrador relieving itself is currently installed on the side of the Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA) in Newport Beach, California. The installation, known simply as Bad Dog, is a new outdoor piece by artist Richard Jackson that is claiming its temporary territory throughout the run of the 74-year-old artist's first retrospective exhibit titled Richard Jackson: Ain't Painting a Pain.

New Clever Pictogram Movie Posters by H-57

Designer Matteo Civaschi of Milan-based creative studio H-57 just sent us this awesome new collection of pictogram movie posters. A follow-up to their clever pictogram history posters, this set takes some popular movies, both old and new, and condenses their plots down to their most basic forms. “This new set of stories shows our passion for the great, super-popular movies of all time,” Civaschi tells us.

Whimsical Twisting Lamp Posts and Droopy Light Bulbs

Dutch artist Pieke Bergmans playfully redesigns street lamps and light bulbs to look like animated figures. Her latest series titled Metamorphosis offers a whimsical transformation to said inanimate objects by elongating and twisting their bodies around one another. One piece in the collection is a pair of anthropomorphized street lamps that appear to be intwined in a romantic dance as one streetlight gently dips its partner.

Old Water Tower Transformed into a Modern Home

Leigh Osborne and Graham Voce are the owners of this amazing residence, which they had spent several months designing, constructing and ultimately transforming from its original state as an old water tower. Located in central London, the tower was an architectural remnant of the 19th-century that has long since been untouched until this year.
