22-Year-Old’s Incredibly Artistic Self-Portraits

Prejudice Though Budapest, Hungary-based photographer Noell S. Oszvald currently has only 22 total photos on her Flickr page, they're all so incredibly powerful, you could spend hours looking at each one. The 22-year-old started taking photos a little over a year ago, though you wouldn't know that she was so new to photography by looking at her stunning portfolio. Oszvald only shoots in black and white because she finds colors to be distracting.

Layers of Vibrant Movement in New York and Berlin

The passing of time is a fascinating concept which happens all around us, at every single moment of every single day. French photographer Laurent Dequick decided to capture these fleeting seconds in a series of photographs entitled Vibrations Urbaines. Each image is a collective sequence of multiple photographs, superimposed together to visually reflect the chaos and congestion of large urban areas. The series features colorful and energetic portraits of both New York and Berlin.

Stunning Baroque Painting-Inspired Photography

Welcome to the rich and dark world of Helen Sobiralski. Just last year, the Berlin, Germany-based photographer won several awards for her original series about opulence and abundance titled Cockaignesque. Inspired by Baroque still-life paintings, she constructed highly dramatic scenes like the one above, which shows a perfectly coiffed woman with candle wax dripping down her bare shoulders.

Fun Bubblegum Self-Portrait by Marcus Moller

20-year-old photographer Marcus Mller Bitsch took this fantastically fun self-portrait called Up where he's floating away after having blown an incredibly large bubblegum bubble! Inspired by the Pixar movie Up, it's a light and magical photo that's beautifully well-executed. “This took a while to make, but only because I'm sooooo bad at blowing gum bubbles,” he states. The photo is just one of several highly creative ones he's made in his 365 day project.
