The best standalone images of the year—submitted by photographers from 195 countries—compete in the Open competition. 20 Stunning Finalists of the 2018 Architectural Photography Awards

Architectural photographers around the world submitted their best images to the Architectural Photography Awards and now the 20 finalists have been revealed. The competition, which is organized by the World Architecture Festival, attracted entries from 47 countries and the finalists will have their images on display at the WAF in Amsterdam. The five images selected in each of the four categories—Interiors, Exteriors, Buildings in Use, and Sense of Place—highlight the artistry of architectural photography.

The winners of the annual Through​ ​Your​ ​Lens​ Underwater ​Photo​ Contest have just been announced, revealing extraordinary moments from ocean life. Developed​ ​and​ ​produced​ ​by Scuba Diving Magazine, the competition is now in it’s 14th year, and drew more than 2,100 incredible entries from across the globe. The 2018 winners were chosen from four categories—Wide-Angle, Macro, Conceptual, and Compact Camera, collectively showcasing a wide variety of underwater photography skills and styles.

The 61st World Press Photo Contest has recently announced the winning image of their 2018 competition. Since 1955, the organization has recognized the best in international photojournalism, and their selections are always incredible; they are often hard to look at for very long, as the scenes depict dire situations and humanity at its breaking point.
