Magical Disney World Gifs

Cinderella Castle, Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World After we first featured Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg's stunning cinematic gifs (or Cinemagraphs), we knew we had to continually follow-up with this creative team to see where they were taking their ideas next. In July, we caught up with them as they told the story of Dogfish brewery's strawberry beer, providing some mesmerizing images while giving us rare, behind-the-scenes look at brewing specialty beer.

Blended Tree Line Horizon

In his ongoing series Tree, Line, Zander Olsen has constructed intriguing scenes where trees are wrapped in white material. These photographs were taken in Surrey, Hampshire and Wales. Olsen attempts to create a new line of horizon – one that is not made by the camera but by the stark white material on the trees.

Pixelated Beagle Made of 221K Sprinkles

For a fine arts project at his university, Joel Brochu was tasked with using the pointillism technique, invented by post-Impressionist painter Georges Seurat, where small dots of pure color are repeatedly applied to a canvas until it forms an image. The original project called on him to recreate a piece of furniture. Using 22 different shades of paint to form a chair, he completed the task.

The Benevolent Demon

In his Shedim photo series, Aaron B. Heimlich alters his photos by substituting people with a funny looking character. According to Heimlich, it's a Shedim, which is the Hebrew word for benevolent demon. With these intriguing photos, Heimlich reminds his audience that demons are always out there, we just have to keep our eyes open and be more aware. While this set seem to carry a serious note, don't they look sort of comical?
