Exploding Fruits and Vegetables

Apple While we got a kick out of photographer Alan Sailer's exploding Christmas ornaments, we can't help but stand back in shock and awe as he demolishes our favorite fruits and vegetables. Yes, even the sweet potato he bought at a local farmer's market has no chance against Sailer who turns the brown vegetable into a puree, all without the help of a blender! Singapore’s Vertical City Building

Have you ever seen a building that looked like it could house a city? Dutch architecture firm UNStudio has just released their design for Scott's Tower which will be in Singapore. The 31-story building will feature 231 apartments that offer impressive views of the surrounding area. The most striking part of the design is the two openings in the buildings facade called Sky Frames.

Stuttgart’s Refreshingly New Modern Library

Have you ever seen a library as modern as this? Korean architect Eun Young Yi beat out 235 other proposals to win the honor of designing the new central library in Stuttgart, Germany. The project took three years to complete and costs roughly $108 million. The opening ceremony was held just last month. Young Yi's design is a large cube featuring nine above ground floors and two basement level floors.
