New Photorealistic Oil Painting by Linnea Strid

To celebrate their 5 Year Anniversary, Thinkspace Gallery is putting on the mother of all shows. One of the artists whose work they'll feature is none other than Linnea Strid. The internet went wild over Linnea's photorealistic oil paintings last year, as we discovered an artist who could paint water in an unbelievable way. This new piece is called Zero (When I'm Alone I Cease To Exist). “It's a self portrait,” she says.

A Wonderfully Odd World by Geof Kern

Award winning American photographer Geof Kern takes our world and turns it upside down. Inspired by post-modernist painters and cinematic actors/directors such as Buster Keaton and Jean-Luc Godard, Kern's storytelling style has an artistic as well as a deadpan nature to it. His black-and-white photos may remind you of another Met favorite, Rodney Smith, in that both have the ability to create timeless photos that, on closer inspection, seem slightly surreal.
