It’s impossible to not be at least a little interested in celebrity “then and now” photos. Their past hairstyles and fashions can make you feel nostalgic—especially if a person came of age at the same time as you. Artist Ard Gelinck is one of the best when it comes to crafting these types of photographs, and he's cultivated a style all his own. His ongoing portrait series features present-day celebrities posing with their younger selves. And thanks to Gelinck’s masterful use of Photoshop, the two versions of the same person are seamlessly integrated into one picture with their arms around each other like they're best friends.

Gelinck plays into our curiosity that comes from seeing how people have aged. Getting old is inevitable, so how has it changed people who are in the spotlight? In many ways, the celebrities featured look even better than they did many years ago. Jennifer Lopez, aka J.Lo, was stunning during her days as a Fly Girl on the show In Living Color, and she's just as gorgeous now. (It's hard to believe that she's 50 years old!) The same can be said for the likes of George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Oprah—those who have the benefit of personal trainers, nutritionists, and beauty treatments that have helped them gracefully get older.
