Former Dutch Prison Transformed Into a Luxury Hotel

Het Arresthuis is a 19th-century-prison turned luxury hotel in the Netherlands. The newly repurposed jailhouse has been completely redesigned with chic, spacious, modern motifs while maintaining its rich history as a former penitentiary. The building's new function invites visitors to take advantage of the hotel's unique Deluxe and Comfort suites while indulging in the venue's relaxing amenities–a sauna and a fitness center. Doing time never sounded so good!

Inside Philippe Starck’s Stunning San Francisco Hotel

A few weekends ago, I went up to San Francisco to conduct an on-site interview with Pixar story artist Josh Cooley. While there, I was able to stay a few days at one of my very favorite places – Clift Hotel, a gorgeous luxury hotel designed by the one and only Philippe Starck.

Modern Architecture – Water Drop Resort

Designed in the shape of a water droplet, the Water Building Resort will be the first building ever to convert air into water, using solar power energy. A sunny, southerly facing facade made of photovoltaic glass will harness solar energy, allowing light to pass through. The northern facade will contain a ventilation system that will convert humid air and condensation into pure drinking water.
