Artist Uses AI to Generate Realistic Faces of Subjects From World’s Most Iconic Paintings

Digital artist Denis Shiryaev has put a technological twist on seven of the world’s most famous paintings. Using neural networks (a set of algorithms modeled after the human brain, designed to recognize patterns), he generated realistic faces of artistic subjects like Mona Lisa, the Roman goddess Venus, and the pair from the American Gothic painting.

South Korea Honors Healthcare Workers With Dazzling Light Show Made of 300 Drones

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a trying time for people all over the world, which is why the South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport decided to treat the residents of Seoul to a surprise drone light show. On July 4th, 300 drones lit up the night sky above the Han River in a spectacular synchronized light show that displayed safety reminders and tribute to health workers.
