Clever Artist Uses Pasta Maker to Create Duplicate Collages From a Single Photo

Avant-garde artist and self-described “alchemist” Kensuke Koike crafts collages with a surrealist twist. Rather than use a simple pair of scissors or a tried-and-true X-acto knife, Koike often creates his pieced-together works with an unconventional tool: a hand-cranked pasta maker. For his latest magic trick, Koike uses the machine to perplexingly produce duplicate copies of a single dog portrait. So, how does he do it?

Incredible 3D GIFs Created with a Simple Visual Effect

Animated gifs seem to be everywhere these days, but some gif creators are taking the visual experience of viewing quick clips of silent motion to another level. By carefully adding a couple of solid-colored (typically white), vertical lines to the moving images, an incredible three-dimensional effect is created. As characters and objects move into the foreground, they seemingly extend beyond the barrier of the image.

Artist Covers Entire Walls With Incredible Large Murals of Cities Around the World

Paris-based artist Thomas Dartigues (aka Decktwo) illustrates different cityscapes around the world in his incredible, large-scale mural art. A former street artist, Dartigues ditched the spray can in favor of black markers for his minimalist line drawings. Sketched across large sheets of paper and walls, each sprawling cityscape drawing features some of the world’s most famous landmarks, rendered in incredible detail. To date, Dartigues’ projects have ranged from live drawing events to commissioned commercial projects.
