Playful Drawings Pair Animals with Sign Language Alphabet

Chicago-based illustrator Alex Solis teaches us American Sign Language with the help of charming and colorful drawings. Combining photography and his cartoonish style, Solis adds small critters to pictures of hands that form different letters of the sign language alphabet. The animals playfully interact with each hand that corresponds with the first letter of their name. Solis' imaginative drawings feature octopuses, zebras, unicorns, and many more.

Stunningly Serene Land Art by Sally J. Smith

Since the late 1960s, the land art movement has produced incredible art within nature, art which is composed primarily by the natural elements at hand. Rocks, leaves, and water are the medium and terrain becomes the canvas. These works are intentionally impermanent, they're often left to change and then erode, reclaimed by the natural elements. Most reprints of classic books are dominated by large companies that produce low-quality paperbacks with bland covers, as David Mautz discovered when he was looking for a nice set of classic paperbacks. Frustrated by the limited options available, he founded Rock Paper Books, a startup publishing company dedicated to working with independent artists to create clean, minimalist book cover designs.
